A: We take students from age 3+ Q: Do I have to take all classes? A: No, we have many class options that you can pick and choice from for all ages. Competition team members (age 7+) have some compulsory classes. Please note that ACRO cannot be taken on its own. Q: Where is the new KNC dance studios? A: We are based in Newbridge Industrial Estate Q: Do I collect my child between classes? A: No, if classes are back to back then we will bring them to their next class. Q: Do competition teams have to take all classes for their team? A: It is compulsory to do all classes with your team. Some teams have more classes than others. Competition team members can also add on non competition classes if their team do not offer that style as a competition class. Q: How do I pay for class? A: Due to COVID 19, we have decided to opt for non cash payments. We will have several payment options, including online payments and bank transfers. Q: I want to audition for a competition team, is there any extra costs other than class fees? A: Competition teams pay regular class fees. There is also competition fees due at the time of competitions to register performers with the competition owners. These prices vary and depend on which competitions we choose to enter. Q: How do I know if I am beginner or Advanced Acro? A: Our Acro teacher will assess your level at the start of the term and will advise you on which level to take. Q: Are all your teachers all qualified to teach? A: 100% YES. All of our staff are qualified in their teaching subjects. To see more on teachers qualifications, please see our faculty page. Q: Can parents sit in on classes? A: We have always recommended that parents do not sit in on class as we find that younger students can become distracted, but now, due to COVID-19, we Unfortunately cannot allow parents to sit in on classes. Q: Do competition classes and non competition classes do they same things in class? A: Yes. All students will cover the same content in that subject but Competition classes may run at a faster pace. Competition classes will prepare for competitions throughout the year, given them more performance opportunities. Non competition classes can still take exams and will be involved in many performances and shows. Q: The class I want is fully booked, can I be added in? A: unfortunately we have had to cap numbers. If you wish, you may add to the waiting list and If a place becomes available we will contact you. Q: What do I need to wear to class? A: Comfortable, fitted, dance clothes. For example; leotard with black footless tights, Sports leggings and top, KNC 2-peice. We do have a KNC uniform available (this is not Compulsory). Q: do I need certain footwear? A: the only class that requires specific footwear is tap. For all other classes you may wear lyrical shoes or jazz shoes if your wish. You can also dance in clean, dry socks as our new dance floor is purpose made for dancing. Students may also dance in bare feet if they wish. We do not allow any outside footwear on the studio floor. There will be space to leave shoes on the way in. Q: Can I be added into a competition team in the middle of the year? A: yes! If a place becomes available. Places are currently full in all of our teams but if you may fill out the audition form at any stage and you will be contacted if a suitable place becomes available. |
